About Me
Andrea has performed all over the world. She has performed as the Narrator in The Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, where she received phenomenal reviews. She is often a featured singer in the Backer Entertainment Production of Soul of America. Previously, Andrea toured the USA’s west coast as the featured gospel singer in Spirit Production’s Broadway Christmas Wonderland after performing for seven and a half months overseas in the Hong Kong Disneyland Production of Mickey and the Wonderous Book, where she became besties with Princess Tiana. Other performances include 12 Angry Women as the Foreman, Little Shop of Horrors as Ronette, Porgy and Bess as Lily, and L’efant et Les Sortileges as the Squirrel and Chinese Cup. Andrea is a graduate of Grand Valley State University where she completed dual baccalaureate degrees in Mathematics and Music. Yes, she is super nerdy.

She is magnificent in the role, measuring the evolution of her character and her voice until, in the moment of her jubilant self-affirmation (I'm Here), her powerhouse vocals rise heavenward and lift the audience off their seats

As Celie, Andrea Fleming's portrayal, just like the character, is small, controlled, and quiet at first, with downcast eyes and darting looks, then becomes bigger and blossoms once Sophia and Shrug come into her life. Fleming also beautifully captures Celie's growth and the changes, from teenage years to mid-50s. Her solo, "I'm Here," explodes with power, emotion and passion. It's a moving and inspiring performance of this moving and inspiring character.
